50 most popular genealogy sites

ProGenealogists has named its 50 most popular genealogy websites for 2010.

The rankings were based on stats from the first quarter of the year, as measured by four major ranking companies.

Here are the 50 sites as detailed in Kory L. Meyerink's blog post. In parenthesis after each site, see its 2009 and 2008 rankings. Eight new sites are also identified.

It was interesting to see the ranking changes for each site over the past three years.

Tracing the Tribe was happy to see FamilyTreeDNA.com's rank move up to #20 (from#27). JewishGen.org also moved up to #26 (from #28).
