The 28th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy has announced several updates at its website, including tours, museum visit, cemetery transportation and more.

JEWISH ROOTS TOURS
Three Chicago Jewish Roots Tours to different neighborhoods will be led by Dr. Irving Cutler, author of "The Jews of Chicago: From Shtetl to Suburb," and founding member of the Chicago Jewish Historical Society.
Registration ($35 per person) is now open for the tours; each leaves at noon and returns at 5pm. Advance registration required. See the conference FAQs and Breaking News for more information.
Sunday, August 17
Lunch on your own before visiting Maxwell Street, Lawndale, Humboldt Park, Logan Square, Albany Park and West Rogers Park.
Monday, August 18
The North and Northwest Tour begins at Manny's Deli (lunch on your own) and then to the neighborhoods where Jewish life and culture flourished, including Humboldt Park, Wicker Park, Logan Square, Albany Park, West Rogers Park and Rogers Park.
Wednesday, August 20
The South Side Tour begins at Manny's Deli (lunch on your own) and then traces Jewish settlements from their earliest beginnings downtown and southward through such communities as Grand Boulevard, Washington Park, Kenwood, Hyde Park, South Shore and South Chicago.
SPERTUS MUSEUM TOUR
Participants will meet at the Spertus Institute for this 1 1/2 hour docent-led tour at 10am, Tuesday, August 19. The charge is $15 per person. Guests are welcome.
CEMETERY VISITS
Registration for transportation to and from the Chicago-area Jewish cemeteries and the non-sectarian cemeteries with Jewish sections is now posted on the Conference Registration website. Carefully selected day and time as there are multiple trips to most cemeteries. Each round-trip is $30 per person. Read the details about these trips carefully in the FAQs and in Breaking News. Advance reservations are required.
