It's now easier to add comments!

Hello, readers.

Ta-da! Tracing the Tribe readers have indicated it is difficult to figure out how to add comments to a post.

It may have taken some time, but as of today it is now much easier.

Under each post, you'll see three lines of little items. The second line gives the number of comments already made and now says "Add your comments here!"

Just click on that item, and you'll be able to see past comments and leave a new one.

I do hope this improvement means hundreds of additional readers will now be leaving comments, and I look forward to reading them!

Best wishes

Schelly

  1. Now that we have easy comments, how about publishing a full RSS feed instead of just the one liner? As a tribe member I am a daily reader of your blog through bloglines.

    Thanks for the great posts!

  2. Schelly,

The title to your blog article caught my eye and here I am testing your new setup. As you know the issue of ease in posting has been discussed and continues to be discussed at the new group, Genea-Bloggers at Facebook. I am of the opinion if readers find impediments which hinder and slow them down they generally won't comment. You are to be commended for making the process easier at your excellent publication, Tracing the Tribe.

Now I punch the "Post Comment" button to test the ease in your new procedure.

  3. SCHELLY,

It took me two tries to post because of difficulty in reading the Unscramble the Letters Box (old eyes and cataracts) --- and when I finally got the letter correct, I discover that you are going to moderate the comment anyway --- so why make your readers (as Bob Franks would say) "jump throught the hoop" with unscrambling a word and still not have their comment posted? Your process doesn't bother me as I can usually figure out the letters and most writers will eventually get around to moderating and approving what I say --- but I'm with Bob, why this extra step?

Again any steps to make all of this easier is, to me, an improvement and I comment you for improving your way of accepting comments from readers.
