The World Digital Library is a free website to be launched in 2009. It will feature multi-lingual primary source materials from international cultural institutions.
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has become a founding partner in the new entity, announced Archivist of the US Allen Weinstein and Librarian of Congress James H. Billington.

NARA will contribute digital versions of important US documents, including the Declaration of Independence, US Constitution, naturalization and immigration papers and other documents.
