FamilyTreeDNA: 5th International Conference, November 8-9

FamilyTreeDNA.com has announced its fifth international conference on genetic genealogy for FamilyTreeDNA group administrators will be held Saturday-Sunday, November 8-9, at the Sheraton North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The event features leading experts in the field presenting a variety of topics related to the use of DNA testing for family history and deep ancestral origins.

Speakers include Max Blankfeld, Bennett Greenspan, Dr. Doron Behar, Dr. Michael Hammer, Thomas Krahn, Bob McLaren, Adrian Williams, Ricki Lewis, Alex Moen, Taylor Edwards, Matt Kaplan, Eileen Krause, Tom Shawker, David Ewing,

Topics include FTDNA in 2008, running a large name project, Y updates, privacy and ethics, The Genographic Project, mtDNA testing and genealogy, FTDNA chapter meeting of the International Society of Genetic Genealogy, tMRCA advances, Y-DNA Phylogentic tree updates, connecting genealogy and anthrogenealogy, surname projects, ethnicity race and ancestry, challenges to the genetic genealogist, dating nodes of the phylogenetic tree.

The schedule includes coffee breaks, lunch with the FTDNA staff, panels and more.
