The family went to Moscow very early, around 1902. David was in the leather business according to descendants in Moscow and elsewhere. It is quite possible that Riva was related to David's wife. You might want to check the Belarus SIG databases on JewishGen, check both PINSKY and PINSKAYA to see all possible names.

best wishes and shana tova!
SchellySchelly Talalay Dardashtihttp://tracingthetribe.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32414509.post-49788268446181801702010-09-04T09:43:11.316-06:002010-09-04T09:43:11.316-06:00To begin Bobruisk research: Check out Belarus SIG ...To begin Bobruisk research: Check out Belarus SIG on JewishGen.org for all Belarus research. My Grandmother was born Riva (Rivka) Pinsky. She emigrated from Molev (Mogilev?)to the U.S. in 1906. She was born around 1888 and left her family behind. I believe she was one of the older children of a family that seems to be fairly large. One of her brothers may have been a doctor.
She corresponded with the family until WWII when she lost all track of them. She died in the 1950s without knowing what happened to the family.
I have not been able to find much and thought you might have some information about a family by the name of Pinsky.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11061904858056688787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32414509.post-1964043101767915862010-08-22T09:38:16.226-06:002010-08-22T09:38:16.226-06:00Any advice on getting started in researching Bobru...Any advice on getting started in researching Bobruisk families?doseasnoreply@blogger.com
